Hybrid Bikes

Hybrid bikes are designed for use on both paved and unpaved roads. This means they are great for both general purpose commute and utility, as well as recreational off-road experiences. Of course, some less developed areas will have rougher roads being a natural part of daily commute.

There are several other names by which hybrid bikes may be recognized. These include city, cross, or commuter bicycle. Aspects of both road designs and mountain designs are incorporated into the hybrid models.

Hybrid bikes will generally make use of the handle bars and triple crank found in mountain bikes. This leaves them with a more upright posture than generally found in road designs. The linear pull or disc brake of the mountain styles is also incorporated.
