Mini Bike
A mini bike is simply a miniature motorcycle. These designs originated in the 1950s. In the same fashion as go-carts, they were first created as home projects rather than being commercially produced. Early popular use for the bikes was by drag racers. This is because they were ideal for traveling quickly around the pits during races.
Today, there are several different categories of mini bike in addition to pit bikes. These include:
Pocket bike – These are meant for racing and resemble sport bikes. In general, they are smaller replicas of a GP motorcycle.
Racing and Competition Mini bike – These are used in a form of supermoto racing.
Mini chopper – As the name suggests, this is a smaller version of a Chopper.
Midi moto – This term is used for bikes slightly bigger than mini versions.
